when you are unemployed you see on dashboard :

Unemployed!
You do not have a job, and cannot work. Click the button below to search for jobs in your current region.
 
and there is a find work button which shows the job offer in the region you are in at the moment but very often there is no work there instead, it is better to show jobs from all regions it will be easier for orientation to choose the right job depending on the working skill salary and so on

Yeah this two-tier job search annoyed the shit out of me at first, coz I didn't understand why it looks different 🙂
Basically the job offers page (Job Market from the Economy menu) has the national job offers, so all regions.

But when you get redirected from the unemployment alert, you get the "findjob" page which tries to show you offers from your current region maybe?

I think this was planned differently in the beginning, so travel was not like nowadays. Atm the findjob page is obsolete due to the rail network infrastructure, I think the findjob could be removed and we could use the national job offers everywhere.
